Florida Hits XVideos With $1.2 Million Fine

Florida passed a strict age verification law to protect minors from hardcore adult content, but major tube giant XVideos ignored it completely. Even today, anyone can simply type “xvideos” into a browser and instantly access millions of explicit hardcore videos with zero ID check or age gate.

The state sued WebGroup Czech Republic, the company behind XVideos, XNXX, and other big sites. Florida just won a $1.2 million settlement, forcing the company to pay up and finally implement age verification for Florida users.

The big question now is whether the powerful Czech adult industry will fully comply with the new rules or simply block access to the sites in Florida like some other platforms have done. The settlement requires them to use IP detection to identify Florida visitors for the next five years.

This case sends a strong message to foreign adult websites: ignoring U.S. state age verification laws can be expensive. It remains to be seen if other major tube sites will fall in line or continue fighting these regulations.
