Hacker Known as “CyberLeek” Holds GTA 6 PC Beta Hostage in Daily Livestream Standoff

Published on

A hacker going by the name CyberLeek has been posting footage from what looks like a leaked copy of GTA 6 for PC, day after day. The version is believed to be a beta build, and it likely wasn’t supposed to come out until 2027 or 2028, about a year after the console release. It’s still speculation at this point, but the footage has already spread fast across forums and social media.

Rockstar is now investigating the case with help from the FBI. The hacker, who appears to be from India, has threatened to leak the full ISO of the game if anything happens to him. According to his posts, he set up some kind of dead man’s switch, a system that automatically releases the game files if he doesn’t check in every day. It’s a way of protecting himself in case he gets caught or arrested before the situation is resolved.

For now, the leaks keep coming daily, and the pressure keeps building on both sides. Rockstar has to be careful with how it handles things, since any wrong move could trigger the exact leak everyone is trying to avoid.
