MGS2 Source Code Leaked

The source code and data for Metal Gear Solid 2 has leaked on 4chan’s /vr/ (Retro Games) board. It originates from the Vita version (part of the HD Collection) but draws from a unified codebase that includes assets and code from other ports, including PS2, Xbox, Windows, and Xbox 360 elements. Files include source directories, large asset archives with textures, audio, cutscenes, and build scripts.

This release is expected to enable fan mods, restored content, and enhanced PC ports, as the mix of version-specific materials provides a richer foundation for community projects. Mirrors of the leak are circulating following the original /vr/ post.
