Michaela Rylaarsdam, a 32-year-old OnlyFans creator and mother of three, has reached a plea deal in the 2023 death of 55-year-old Michael Dale in Escondido, California. She entered a guilty plea to involuntary manslaughter this week and is expected to receive a four-year prison sentence next month. What started as a paid BDSM session for content creation ended in tragedy when Dale, who had paid her more than $11,000, was found unresponsive with his body and head tightly wrapped in plastic, duct tape, and a bag that restricted his breathing for at least eight minutes.
Dale had requested extreme acts including being wrapped “like a mummy” in Saran Wrap, having women’s boots glued to his feet, and adhesive poured over his eyes. Rylaarsdam filmed parts of the encounter for her platform while he was bound. Police reports noted he appeared intoxicated when she arrived, and video evidence later showed him struggling as the materials stayed in place. She called 911 and attempted CPR, but he was declared brain dead and taken off life support. Prosecutors initially charged her with second-degree murder, arguing the prolonged restriction of his airway crossed into criminal territory despite the consensual setup.
