Lauren, 18, who is believed to be from the US, was lying in bed when she let out an extremely powerful fart. Suddenly she felt something strange coming out of her vagina. When she stood up and looked in the mirror, her uterus had prolapsed and was literally hanging outside.
She panicked, took a photo, and woke her mom at 3 a.m. begging to go to the hospital. Her mom told her to wait until morning. By the time she woke up, the uterus had gone back inside by itself.

Doctors later confirmed it was a uterine prolapse — something that usually only happens to much older women. In Lauren’s case, years of straining on the toilet had already weakened her pelvic floor, and that one huge fart was enough to push everything out.
